Providing Healthy Snacks for Schools

The obesity epidemic has led schools to ban high-fat, high-calorie snacks, both those on cafeteria lines and in vending machines. Rock-n-Roll Gourmet supports the effort to replace unhealthy snacks with healthier choices. And we want to help educate kids to be more conscious about eating and exercise. Our flagship Hippie Chips baked potato chips and other products are currently available in more than 500 schools nationwide. Our goal is to give primary, secondary and college students healthy snack choices on 1000 campuses by the end of 2012. We also know that when sugary and salty treats were kicked out of schools, so went an easy way to generate much-needed funds. We’re making our Rock-n-Roll Gourmet products available – in bulk and at discount – for fundraising initiatives that benefit a range of campus programs, from music to sports.
